Annual History Dinner Delights and Surprises Sixth Form Pupils

26 April 2024

On Friday 16 April, the History Department came together for its annual dinner. The theme of the evening was the Stuart period and the evening didn't not fail to disappoint. Sixth-form historians and staff come dressed in seventeenth-century costume, from Plague Doctors to the Great Fire of London itself!

The catering team worked tirelessly to put on an authentic menu that delighted guests with its spread of dishes from jugged hare to ox tongue.

One of the highlights was the appearance of the chef's own eagle owl - a species once used for hunting - whose impressive size and poise added a thrilling note to the occasion. This surprise made the evening unforgettable and we would like to take the time to thank the staff that made this evening possible.
