Michaelmas Concert

28 November 2018

The Michaelmas Concert was held at The King's Centre with all six hundred seats taken. Two hundred pupils performed their class songs as well as the talented music groups who played with great confidence and enjoyment.

There were performances from our senior string group, ‘Highly Strung’ and we all enjoyed the two wind groups, Hot Air and Wind Band, who played with great enthusiasm. Our Steel Pan Band brought a tropical flavour to the proceedings. Stickers found a percussive use for a set of broom handles for their piece ‘Stickiness’!

In addition there was plenty of singing – a song from each year group, including the Pre-Prep. The singing was performed with obvious enjoyment, ranging from a song about the Tudors to a Motown classic ‘Ain’t no mountain high enough’

The concert was enjoyed by all and the spacious venue was a great success!
