Bremont Watch Company in Collaboration with Ronnie Wood

05 March 2020

Bremont Watch Company, which was founded by ON Giles English (88-92) and his brother Nick, have developed a limited series of unique and individual watches in collaboration with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.

The ‘1947 Collection’, named for the year of Ronnie’s birth, incorporates 47 hand painted limited-edition watch dials which Ronnie painted while on tour with the Rolling Stones.

Speaking about the collection and Ronnie’s creativity, Giles says, “To be able to translate this passion into a series of watches is completely unique, nobody else has ever done anything quite like this before in hand painting so many one-of-one watches. As a collection, the watches sit beautifully together but each have their own distinct character. Having the opportunity to own an original, and wearable, Ronnie Wood artwork is quite something. It’s undoubtedly going to form an important and iconic part of Bremont’s history”.

Every watch in the collection is a one-off, housing a special Vaucher Manafacture Fleurier movement with moon phase complication and Ronnie’s signature on the rotor. Many of the dial designs feature guitars and fitting slogans such as ‘rock on’. You can find out more about the collection on Bremont’s website here.
