LOWER SCHOOL ENTRY
To apply for a place at Norwich Lower School, please complete the appropriate online registration form below. Please note that online registration has taken the place of our previous paper-based system.

For Reception entry, the deadline for completed applications is 1 February 2020. Entrance assessments take place in February of the year of entry.
For years 1-6 entry, the deadline for completed applications is 10 December in the year preceding entry. Entrance assessments take place in January of the year of entry.
When we receive an application, we will aim to acknowledge it within a few days. A fortnight before the first entrance assessment morning, we will send details about the morning to the contact(s) named on the application form.
For entry into Reception and Year 1, children will be assessed for intellectual aptitude and a readiness to learn. For entry into Year 2, children will be asked to complete some simple age-appropriate tests. All candidates will also take part in group activities.
For entry into Years 3 to 6, children will undertake a number of activities to help us assess their verbal and practical skills in English and mathematics. Children who successfully complete their assessments are invited to interview.
For children in Year 1 and above, we will ask your child’s current school for an academic reference unless indicated otherwise at the point of application.
For entry to Reception in September 2020, small group assessments will take place from 24 February 2020 and all candidates are expected to the activity session on Saturday 29 February.
For entry to Years 1-6 in September 2020 assessments will take place on Saturday 11 January.
