ADAM POSSENER - MAKING MUSICIANS
June 30, 2023
On June 29, ON, Adam Possener, presented a 45-minute visual reconstruction of Bach's 5th cello suite. Possener incorporates video projections, live electronics and a viola made in Bach's lifetime to create a truly memorable experience.
Adam Possener is a composer and violist based in Oxford. Although in the early days of his career, Possener has been awarded both a Royal Philharmonic Society Prize in 2018 and the National Centre for Early Music’s Young Composer Prize in 2022. Now, Possener is a 2022-2023 Associate Soundhub Composer with the London Symphony Orchestra.
The experience took place in the School's Chapel and the audience fully immersed themselves into the experience and with this, Possener took the stage. From the first note, the room was entranced by Adam Possener's talent as we embarked on this musical journey. With plenty of applause and smiles, the event definitely inspired future musicians among us.
Be sure to attend July 3 for the Making Musicians Concert in the Chapel if you would like to enjoy another evening of musical enchantment.
