Visitor from Japan Learns All About WoLLoW
March 3, 2026
Today, we were delighted to Welcome Aki Koyanagi from Iwate University in Northern Japan. Aki was visiting Norwich School to learn all about WoLLoW. She has completed her PhD looking into Language Awareness programmes and she felt that WoLLoW was an excellent example of important work in action. Her next steps are to write a book and to take WoLLoW back to Japan. She observed a WoLLoW lesson, a French lesson, met some of our Upper 4 pupils and helped run a fabulous session on Japanese in Linguistics Club. We learnt about Aki's background, the three scripts in Japanese and we had a go at writing in Hiragana. Thanks to Aki for making the journey to see Norwich School and the exciting courses we offer.
