The Amnesty Christmas Fair

08 December 2023

The school’s Amnesty Group held their annual Christmas fair on Friday 8 December, with the aim of raising funds in support of both English Plus here in Norwich, and the Nandana Village Fund in Sri Lanka.

Members of the group baked biscuits and cakes and even prawn crackers (Thank you to Grace Yeo) to sell on the day, and Lily (Qianshu Yu) set up an innovative photo booth in D2. Mademoiselle Plusquellec & Ms Chi ran a very popular tattoo parlour with a wide range of temporary transfers of butterflies and leaves on offer. There were 100 chocolate Santas, and a chocolate bar Tombola that proved particularly pleasing to pupils and staff alike.

The fair also included a stall run by La Casita and other stalls run by members of the Young Chamber who had a range of products for sale - from homemade Christmas decorations to a fascinating batch of buns made for dogs (which were in fact very tasty according to one colleague who was not wearing his glasses at the time of purchase and initial consumption!)

A total of £250 was raised. Congratulations to all concerned.
