The U15 boys' tennis team had their final match of the campaign against Gresham's on Tuesday afternoon. With the knowledge that a win would secure us the county title, the pressure was on.

Things couldn't have started better with captain Harry Philpott winning his singles 6-0 in double quick time. George Snelling followed soon after with a convincing 6-2 win and then Dominic Walker won his match 6-1. At this point, if Charlie Hutchinson could hold on and win his match then the county title would be ours. Despite some lengthy rallies Charlie duly did win 6-1. Dominic was joined by Henry Ford in the doubles, and they suffered a loss, but Harry and Charlie got us back on track with a win making the final score 5-1 in our favour. It was a lovely afternoon of celebration in the sunshine.

The team will now represent Norfolk in the regional round of the competition when we return to school in September and the team are more than ready for what they will face the next academic year.

We can't wait for what is in store.
