Pop! Goes the Easel – Private View in the Crypt Gallery hosted by Kerwin Blackburn (01-12)

22 November 2023

On 22nd November 2023 in the Crypt Gallery at Norwich School, talented ON Kerwin Blackburn hosted a private view of his exhibition entitled ‘Pop! Goes the Easel’. It is great to have him back on site for his second exhibition here.

Sponsored by Adnams who provided the fizz, a substantial group of invited guests comprising staff, alumni, parents and friends were delighted to take a close look at his latest exhibition, and Kerwin was the perfect host.

It is always a pleasure seeing Kerwin’s latest creations, be it merchandise, new prints or painted vinyls, all skilfully displayed and accompanied by a specially commissioned mix soundtrack.

The exhibition is simply a riot of colour, featuring Pop Art famous faces from many genres and generations, all painted using a Jackson Pollock ‘action style’ technique, which is demonstrated on the videos playing in the Gallery. There is such a cool vibe down there, beautifully complementing the delicate vaulting of the medieval Crypt.

Every work is for sale and there is something to suit every budget; good to know with Christmas on the way!

We encourage you to take a look for yourself. The exhibition is in the Crypt Gallery below Norwich School’s Chapel and open daily 9am - 5pm Mon - Sat. Kerwin is hosting it himself throughout and would love the opportunity to meet you and to talk about his passion for his work. Entry is free and he’d love your support.
