Upper Sixth Physics Olympiad - Second Round results

Navaneeth Hari Krishnan (U6) and Ben Groat (U6) recently participated in the Second Round of the British Physics Olympiad, following their recent outstanding success in the First Round.

Both pupils achieved a Gold Award in this incredibly challenging competition, sat by only a select number of 2,300 pupils who made it through the first round.

On announcing the awards, the organiser states - 'This paper is taken to test for stamina, determination, and resilience, not merely knowledge of physics topics and technical skills. Please pass on our appreciation to your students for their contributions to the development of new question ideas, deliberately set for a direct challenge to their academic strength.  It is a significant step in their academic development.'

Very well done indeed.
