One Norwich School Day

11 March 2022

The Norwich School community came together today to mark One Norwich School Day, which celebrates diversity within the School and the wider community.

The day began with an assembly from the Very Revd Jane Hedges, who addressed the whole School community, touching on the importance of inclusion and accepting others.

Throughout the day, pupils took part in a variety of activities, including a tutorial which challenged pupils to talk to someone they don't know and see what they have in common. The Many Voices choir also performed in the Blake Studio at breaktime.

At lunchtime, there was a series of performances and stalls run by pupils, which raised awareness around different groups and topics. Stalls included FemSoc, Amnesty Group, Pride Group, Inclusive Book Group and special guests Vision Norfolk. There were also musical performances in Mandarin and Tamil.

One Norwich School Day also saw the return of the hugely popular Cultural Food Fair, also run by pupils, which offered a huge range of homemade food from a variety of cultures. All donations raised are going to Street Child's emergency fund for Ukraine.
