Norwich School to support upcoming Love Light Norwich Festival

02 February 2022

Norwich School is delighted to lend its support to the upcoming Love Light Norwich Festival.

Love Light Norwich is a bold and bright festival in the City of Stories. Taking place from Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 February 2022, Love Light Norwich brings unexpected magic to the city streets: stunning installations, performance, projections, a city centre procession, and much more for everyone to experience, all for free. For 2022, Love Light Norwich will celebrate love in all its forms, and the communities that make our city.

Norwich School is pleased to be hosting one of the many exciting events, LightHaus, in the Blake Studio.

Returning to Love Light Norwich after last year’s sell-out FloodLight show, KlangHaus have created a brand new journey through saturated colour, pitch darkness and blinding light.

LightHaus is a free, 15-minute immersive experience for family audiences, music fans, the curious and unsuspecting; an intense performance for sound and senses made from music, natural sounds, light and projections.

The show is full of surprises with the essence of the ocean and its power to shape our world, a reminder of the power of nature - our insignificance and vulnerability - with the lighthouse as the signifier of warning of danger and of hope.

The event will be open nightly for performances between 5.30pm and 8.50pm. Book in advance via Eventbrite - limited tickets on the door available.

There will also be many other installations across the city as part of the festival, featuring internationally renowned artists like Nicholas Azidis—who will return with a brand-new luminous projection on Norwich Cathedral, and innovative theatre company Pif-Paf—whose work invites audience members to become part of the art, in a unique interactive installation. The festival conjures enchanting experiences in the streets of Norwich through light, fire, collaborative exhibitions, music, and much-loved landmarks transformed into vibrant artworks.
