Norwich School to host Norfolk Children's Book Festival

11 April 2017

Following on from the past five years’ highly successful Norfolk Children’s Book Festivals, Norwich School is embarking upon its sixth Book Festival on the 4th July. 25 local schools will join us for the event which will be hosted in Norwich Cathedral.

The festival aims to promote literacy and a love of books by encouraging young people across Norfolk to read good quality literature. It is hoped that hearing authors talk about what inspires their writing, and sharing these stories with young readers, not only encourages reading, but also broadens horizons and generates a buzz around reading. The event features authors Mark Walden, Helen Dennis, Sarah Mussi, Dave Rudden, Kevin Graal, Ivan Bates and Janet Marshall. There will also be a creative writing competition and stands in the Cathedral Cloisters.

This event, organised by Norwich School, is supported by Young Norfolk Arts Festival, Norwich Cathedral and Norwich Writers Centre.

Further details on the authors at the event can be found here.
