Over the weekend two of Norwich School’s brightest tennis prospects competed at the Aegon British Tour Women’s Open singles in Felixstowe. The tournament was the first played on grass this season for many of the competitors with Wimbledon coming up.

Both Frances Evans (L6P) and Monica Raviraj (L5V) completed impressive victories in their quarter and semi-finals to set up an all Norwich School final. The game was tight throughout with Monica taking the first set and Frances coping well with a rain interrupted second to level the match at one set all. In a nail-biting third set Frances took the match 10-9 in a tiebreak, a result both can be hugely proud of with the tight margins that were involved.
