On Saturday a stripped-down cross-country team of 6 runners travelled to Ipswich for the third instalment of the EAL Cross Country league.
The course was hilly, with lots of twists and turns but thankfully, it was mud-free this year.
In the Junior Girls' race Amelie Ivie gave 100% to come 2nd, a big improvement on her 8th place finish last year. Another consistent run from William Duncan saw him finish 5th in the Junior Boys' race.
In the Senior Girls' race no one could get near Bea Wells who came in 1st with a huge lead over the rest of the field. We also had the winner in the Senior Boys' thanks to a determined run from Freddie Mitchell.
Ben Hawkes and Jack Yaxley, relative newcomers to the team, also ran well to secure a good team performance.
The final race in the series takes place at RHS in two weeks with our athletes in a good position to bring home some trophies.
