Norwich School Pupils A Level Results Photographs Are Featured in the National Press

16 August 2019

Photographs of Norwich School pupils have been featured in a number of national news papers following A Level Results Day

Photographs of our Upper Sixth pupils have been featured in a number of national news papers in their online and print editions. A photograph of Sophie Todd and Willow Major has also been used as the front page cover of The Telegraph newspaper this morning. Images of Norwich School pupils collecting their results have also featured in the online editions of The Times, the Evening Standard, the Mirror and Daily Mail online versions.

While the strong results generated by this cohort are significant as a way of marking two years of Sixth Form study, they are also important for individual future routes. We are therefore delighted to report at this point that of those making applications through UCAS, 75% of pupils have secured places at their first choice university, 13% have secured places at their second choice university, while a further 5% have secured exciting courses through UCAS Clearing. These figures are particularly pleasing when one considers the ambition of our leavers and the diversity of their interests: courses vary from creative opportunities to medicine; destinations from Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge, to specialist institutions. There is likely to be more good news as universities clarify decisions and leavers make further choices, so we shall provide further updates in due course.

We are delighted with our pupils' achievements and congratulate them all for their success.
