On Saturday 8 March, the much-loved Norwich School Jazz Night made a triumphant return to Epic Studios.
Eliza Prior (L6) tells us more about this highlight of the Norwich School musical calendar:
"The evening began as guests started to arrive from 18:30, with numbers from the Unplugged Concert which occurred earlier in the term, followed by the Close Shaves Barbershop Group with some Billy Joel and all girls choir G-Force with Royals by Lorde.
Then began the first Senior Jazz Band set of the night with the more laid-back jazz numbers while the guests ate their meal. After an interlude during which guests were entertained by a student led band, the second Senior Jazz Band set kicked off with a bang, with a fabulous rendition of Stevie Wonder’s Sir Duke.
Parents, pupils and guests danced the night away to the live music which continued until 23:30, after which time a DJ set kept the tunes coming!
Both pupils and teachers put in so much effort with rehearsals throughout the term and most pupils were at Epic from 15:00 until midnight!
Many thanks to all the teachers and the team at Epic for making it such a memorable night!"
