Norwich School Choral Society is delighted to have the support of several local businesses for their annual concert.
The repertoire on 8 March includes Vivaldi’s Magnificat in G minor and Faure’s exquisite Requiem in D Minor, as well as a brand new commission, A Mass for Planet Earth by Andrew Weeks, the School’s Head of Instrumental Music and Composition. Adam Chillingworth, a sixth form pupil will be the soloist for J.S. Bach’s Harpsichord Concerto in F minor.
Norwich School’s senior orchestra, Gateway Players, are excited to play alongside professional musicians from local group Norwich Baroque. They are also joined by pupils from other schools in the city.
Sidney, who is a cellist from City of Norwich School is taking part for the second consecutive year and says she loves the opportunity to join Norwich School's orchestra for this concert: "It’s really cool to work alongside professionals and experience such a high level of playing."
