Last week The Blake Studio was packed during talk on neurodiversity. Lower 6 pupils Sophia Carter, Ottilie Johnson and Tilly Hill explain how this came about...

"We were discussing a while ago how little everybody, including us, knows about Neurodiversity, and so we decided to research and educate ourselves.

While researching we learnt a lot of interesting facts and statistics, which surprised us - and so concluded it is an important topic for everybody to be able to understand too.

Our presentation included definitions, facts and examples. Focusing in on language surrounding the topic, which phrases are appropriate, and which mustn’t be used as they could offend those who the term applies too.

We’re hoping to continue spread knowledge on the subject throughout the school, while allowing everybody to feel comfortable, accepted and understood."
