It has been an exciting and busy start to the Lent term for Boys’ Hockey.
Pre-season was a success with the 1st team finishing second in a highly competitive tournament at UEA and the U14 and U15s taking part in a similar competition held at The Perse. This has been followed by a series of block fixtures against some strong opposition including Felsted, The Perse and Gresham’s which has seen some excellent Hockey and team development, with the 2nd XI having a particularly impressive season so far. Teams are also progressing well in several Cup competitions with the U15 A team through to the 3rd round of the ISHC cup following good wins against Gresham’s and Framlingham College.
The 1st team have continued their good form from the Michaelmas term, including some excellent performances in the National Tier 1 competition which includes fixtures against the top Hockey schools in the Country. A good win against Ipswich School and a draw against Solihull School demonstrate just how strong the team are this year. At the start of Half-term teams from Lower 4 to Middle 5 are away on a mini-tour in Sussex before we turn our attention the second half of term which includes further block matches against Ipswich, RHS and Framlingham.
Well done to all who have been involved in making the season so good thus far
