Gardening Club Working Hard in the Jubilee Wellbeing Garden

16 January 2023

It may be the middle of winter, but the pupils in our Gardening Club have still been busy in our Jubilee Wellbeing Garden.

So far this winter they have been putting the beds to rest and tidying up the area ready for the arrival of spring. The community service pupils have also built and installed fruit tree boxes and turned over the compost bins, which is no easy task!

Gardening Club was awarded a grant from the Friends of Norwich School and have put this to good use with the purchase of tools and equipment, as well as materials. In addition they have bought a grass trimmer that will move them away from being as reliant on the ever-busy grounds staff. Huge thanks to the Friends of Norwich School for making this happen.

Gardening Club starts in earnest again this Friday lunchtime and is open to anyone in the school with an interest in gardening, or who just loves being outdoors! Once the lighter afternoons return as we move out of winter, the Thursday after school club will also resume.
