The first East Anglian League cross country race of the year took place on Saturday 20th January at Mousehold Heath, Norwich. 25 Norwich School runners competed in the rain and mud against runners from Gresham’s, Ipswich School and Royal Hospital School.

In all three boys' races, the school had winning runners. Freddie Mitchell won the junior race, James Price the intermediate race and Club Captain, George Clements, came 1st in the senior race. The intermediate boys' team were victorious overall with Patrick Thomas and Benji Fischer finishing with strong runs.

The school's first girl to finish was Madison Kelly who came 3rd, despite racing against girls considerably older than her. Kitty Taylor, Emily Cahir and Nieve Gauvain all ran well to secure 1st place in the girls' team competition.

The senior boys came 2nd to Royal Hospital School, despite strong runs from Steven Denby in 4th, Tom Blythe-Bartram in 7th and Kieran Gheyi in 8th.

Well done to all those who ran and thank you to those sixth formers who helped out by marshalling.
