L6 2D Design pupils have been working on an album cover project since the start of Michaelmas term, culminating in an exhibition in the School's Crypt Gallery.
2D Design encompasses media including photography and graphic design. As their first A Level project, pupils were challenged to choose a decade, and then an album within that decade, and redesign the album cover, sleeves, booklets and posters. The project gave pupils the opportunity to experiment with different media and try new techniques.
At the end of the project, pupil work was displayed for a week-long exhibition in the School's Crypt Gallery, open to pupils, staff and members of the public.
There was a huge array of design work on display and for many pupils, this was their first experience of seeing their artwork on display in an exhibition setting.
L6 pupil Betsy has written a blog about her experience of the project and what it was like to have her work on display. Read it here.
