A Wet And Windy Bedford Head Race for 50 Norwich School Rowers

20 February 2022

This February half term began with 50 rowers from L5 -U6 taking part in a very wet and windy Bedford Head race.

Knowing that the weather was forecast to be wet, windy, and cold Mr. Barrell had persuaded Bedford Rowing Club (BRC) that the school could boat safely from the hard at BRC, and shelter when not on the water in a boat bay to hide from the worst part of the foul weather. Despite the conditions, which got worse throughout the day, the rowers braved the elements and brought home some terrific results. Well done to everyone who took part in particularly challenging weather conditions.

The J18 8+ won beating Notts and Union, Bedford School and BMS.
