PC Dani Holford from Norfolk & Suffolk Police Dog Section visited the children in Lower One this week as part of their Topic work on People Who Help Us.  PC Holford brought two of the dogs she works with called Jet and Danny.  Jet, who is 2 years old, works with PC Holford at all times and is a highly trained police dog.  Danny searches for weapons, money and illegal substances. 

The children learnt about all the equipment PC Holford has to use including handcuffs and a baton.  They all tried on high viz jackets, riot helmets, stab vests and hats.  They were also lucky enough to sit in the Dog Unit Police Car and set off the very loud sirens! 

The Police dogs were extremely obedient and all the class were allowed to stroke them and throw balls across the playground.  “It was the best day ever!” wrote Max in his thank you letter to PC Holford.
