On Wednesday 29 June in the afternoon, we invited grandparents of Upper Three children to the Lower School. The children came out of class to greet their grandparents, enjoying light refreshments together. Children excitedly took their grandparents on a tour of the school site, including their classrooms, the wildlife pond, and the outdoor classroom. We received comments such as "It's changed so much from when we last visited" and "my son used to come to the school many years ago".  They were delighted with the opportunities open to their grandchildren and the chance to share in their school day. 

The afternoon concluded with a thoroughly entertaining performance by both the Infant Choir and the Chamber Choir. The joy on the grandparents' faces was evident while they listened to the varied performances. 

There was a record turn out with over 70 grandparents enjoying a very special afternoon together, making it a truly memorable experience.

One Grandparent summed the afternoon up perfectly;

 "It’s such a lovely idea to include us ‘oldies’ so that we can see where and what our grandchildren are taught - most impressive! The afternoon was rounded off perfectly listening to your wonderful choirs. Thank you again."
