An energetic art session sees Upper 1 create paintings inspired by the Northern Lights

30 January 2024

On Tuesday morning, Upper 1 enjoyed creating colourful Northern Lights inspired artworks in a fun art session with SchooDoodle to compliment their topic on the polar region.

SchooDoodle was created by a brother-sister team who share the vision of delivering exceptional arts and crafts activities and events to children, adults, and families across East Anglia.

To create their polar art, pupils added squares of coloured card and squeezes of paint into salad spinners! This made for an energetic session as the spinners were vigorously spun and exciting anticipation as the lids were taken off to reveal the finished artworks inside. Pupils also modelled their own polar animals from clay and natural materials. It was a great morning for all involved and an exciting opportunity to learn some new artistic techniques!
