TV Presenter and Zoologist Jess French (04-06) was the special guest at Easton College’s Big Day Out on Sunday 2nd June, where she officially opened a water meadow area and took part in pond dipping sessions with visitors.
Since leaving Norwich School, Jess has qualified as a vet with a first-class degree in zoology and worked on a number of wildlife shows on TV, including her extremely popular Cbeebies series ‘Minibeast Adventure with Jess’.
She has also written several books for children, with her most recent publication, ‘What a Waste’, released in April.
The agricultural college’s annual open day saw over a thousand people visit the campus for a day of fun in the sun. Jess told the EDP, “It's really important that children and young people learn about the outdoors and I support the learning that goes on here. The message I'd like people to take away is that being outdoors is important, good for your health and it's also fun too”.
