Mrs N. Robinson

Mrs Robinson is an experienced and dedicated MFL teacher with 16 years of teaching experience. She has taught Spanish and French at Norwich School since 2015 when appointed as Head of Spanish, a role she held until 2023 when she transitioned to part-time after the birth of her son.

She holds a BA in Hispanic Studies (Spanish & Portuguese) from Nottingham University and a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages from UEA. Mrs. Robinson began her career at King Edward VII School in King's Lynn, where she taught French and Spanish before becoming Head of House. She then moved to Wymondham High as Second-in-Department and PGCE mentor, also taking on a school-wide role as a teaching and learning lead, before joining the independent sector.

At Norwich School, Mrs. Robinson introduced Spanish to Lower Four pupils and initiated the first Fourth Form trip to Andalucía in 2016, which has since evolved to the ever-popular Madrid trip. She has led numerous trips to Spain and is committed to bringing languages to life in the classroom through creative methods such as films, songs, plays, food tastings and pen pal exchanges. She aims to help students appreciate the real-world value of languages through authentic experiences.

A passionate advocate for Latin American culture, Mrs. Robinson has lived in Argentina and Brazil and travelled extensively across South America. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a key role in fundraising for the La Casita community group in Buenos Aires.

In addition to her teaching roles, Mrs. Robinson has been a tutor for both 6th form Valpy and 4th form Seagrim and is currently overseeing whole-school CPD initiatives in her role as Professional Learning Coordinator. She has taught WoLLoW in addition to French and Spanish and has been involved in pedagogical research for Oxford University Press. Outside of school, she is learning Latin and enjoys sports, reading, and travel.
