Mrs Katie Curtis

Mrs Katie Curtis read English at Southampton University before gaining a PGCE from Oxford Brookes. Her first teaching post was at St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School in Bristol. She was then appointed Assistant Housemistress at Gresham's school, where she helped establish the CCF Naval Section. In 2007 she moved to Norwich School where she has fulfilled roles as Sixth Form tutor, Deputy Head of Fourth Form and teacher of English to all year groups. She is now Head of Repton House.

Her academic passion is rooted in her Irish heritage, with a strong focus on 20th and 21st-century Irish poetry and literature, much of which explores themes of history, identity, and place. To extend her pupil experience, she has collaborated with the Poet Laureate of Northern Ireland, Sinead Morrissey, and, in 2025, conducted research visits to Dublin and Belfast. She has also been a GCSE examiner for WJEC (Eduqas) for 21 years.
