Faline Niesch
Miss Falina Niesch joined Norwich School nine years ago and has since taught Spanish, French, and German to pupils across all year groups. Her passion for languages and cultures has shaped both her academic and professional path. She completed the International Baccalaureate in Germany, specialising in French, German, English, and History, before reading Spanish and International Development at the University of East Anglia with a focus on gender equality, the dynamics of political discourse, and the study of social anthropology. She later gained a Master’s in Globalisation, Business and Sustainability.
Before beginning her teaching career, she worked in the charity sector as a Project Coordinator for a community interest company, developing projects centred on sustainability and community empowerment. These experiences continue to inform her teaching, where she places importance not only on linguistic proficiency but also on cultural understanding and global awareness.
Having lived in several countries and having experienced cultures across the globe, Falina brings a wealth of international perspective to her classroom. She is passionate about inspiring pupils to explore languages as a means to broaden horizons, foster empathy, and engage meaningfully with global issues.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys hiking, cycling, and gardening, is active in Norwich’s dance community, and remains committed to environmental sustainability and social justice.
