Mr John Douglas-Field
Mr John Douglas-Field is Head of English. Appointed in 2019, he has taught in range of educational settings. He read English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford, where he also obtained his MA and PGCE. Although he enjoys teaching a range of literature, he has a soft spot for poetry, especially contemporary poetry. He has written about this for a variety of organisations, including the Forward Arts Foundation and the Poetry Society. He also works with the T.S. Eliot Prize, writing reviews of shortlisted collections for the general reader. He blogs at Poor Rude Lines.
