In addition to our senior orchestra, Gateway Players, the Music School staff nurtures a variety of music ensembles. Many of these performed in a Summer Instrumental Concert at the nearby King's Centre on the evening of Thursday 29 June. Our training orchestra, Sinfonia, were proud to show off their rendition of Skyfall, which they have been working on this term. Also performing were the Almary String Quartet, which is currently made up of Sixth Form music scholars, and Super Strings, who are a Fourth Form string quartet. The Electric Guitar Group is popular and they entertained the large audience with some Nirvana. We also enjoyed Uberbeat, Junior Jazz Jamboree, the Barbirolli Quartet, Saxology, the Cello Ensemble and an acoustic guitar group. Thanks to all the pupils and staff who worked so hard to put this incredible evening together. <
