Norwich School Dancers Take the Stage by Storm, Securing Third Consecutive Victory in Regional Dance Competition

11 March 2024

Norwich School’s Senior Dance Company has once again triumphed in the regional finals of the prestigious Great Big Dance Off competition, marking their third consecutive win. Demonstrating unparalleled skill and creativity the talented dancers of Norwich School captivated audiences and judges alike with an apocalyptic performance inspired by Mad Max, solidifying their reputation as one of the region’s foremost dance companies.

The regional finals, held in Stevenage on Monday 11 March saw companies from across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and Hertfordshire compete for the coveted title at Primary, Junior and Senior Levels. Our Senior Dance Company delivered a breathtaking performance that left the audience spellbound. Their seamless fusion of technique, emotion, and storytelling, combined with dramatic costumes and make-up, showcased exceptional artistry and precision, giving them a clear 10 point lead ahead of the runners up.

Under the direction of Imogen Osborn, Head of Performing Arts who choreographed the winning piece, we are very excited that Norwich School will now represent Norwich on the national stage at the final in Cheltenham on 1 July. Miss Osborne states; "Winning the regional finals for the third consecutive year is a testament to the commitment and dedication of the pupils. All three companies worked so hard and I am immensely proud of what they have accomplished."

We look forward to what is next for our Senior Dance Company...
