Norfolk Golf School Championships

11 April 2024

On April 11 Norwich School pupils undertook a challenging day of golf at Swaffham Golf Course in cold, windy conditions.

The boys played from the demanding white championship tees, totalling 6,500 yards, the girls from the red tees at 5,700 yards.

All players representing Norwich School behaved impeccably on and off the golf course, showing maturity, kindness and respect for their fellow competitors.

Both Norwich School teams were determined to do well individually and for their team mates, with Charlotte Buck winning the girls nett prize with a score of 96, nett 78. Charlotte was supported admirably by Annie Syme and George Hunter.

Louis Hawes was Captain of the Norwich School A team, scoring a respectable 84. Maxie Hawes was one of the youngest to tee up and played very well shooting 89. James Albery performed steadily with a 91.

We thank all 6 players for their fine skills and exemplary conduct representing Norwich School at the Norfolk School Championships, and wish them well for the coming season both for club and county.
