Saturday, 9 March, saw the first NorHammer event, an afternoon of Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar battles, in the elegant setting of the Bishop's Parlour. Almost all of the Warhammer club regulars took part with the biggest clash being a full 2000 point encounter between Charlie Baker's Orruks and Owen Laidler's Tzeentch army, with the Tzeentchian demons victorious. In the first of two futuristic clashes, David Adkins' formidable Tau force annihilated the combined might of Monty Douglas-Field's Astra Imperium force and Nate Amadeo's Necrons. On the other year 40,000 table, Oscar Wedge's crazy gang of Orks overcame stiff resistance to comprehensively defeat the combined Tyrranid armies of Raffi Nicklin and JJ Li.
We hope to run this event once a term, and all Warhammer players at the school are welcome to join us, even if they don't attend the weekly Warhammer club held on Tuesdays after school.
