We were treated to two talented performances on Thursday 29th Feb in the School Chapel as part of Norwich School's Making Musicians programme.
Tommy Cahir, accompanied by David Neil Jones, delighted the audience on the cello with works by Brahms, Chopin and Schumann. The romantic style really suited Tommy's warm tone, and he showed great technical skill in both the lyrical and energetic passages.
Jacey Ng was next to perform. At only 13 years old, Jacey is one of the youngest pupils to perform in a Making Musicians recital. She obviously relished the opportunity to show off her talents, having just won The Norfolk and Norwich Chamber Music Prize for the most promising wind player at the Norfolk Young Musician of the Year Competition. Her programme concluded with a composition aptly named 'Party Piece'. It was a showstopper - full of virtuosic playing from both herself and David Neil Jones.
Bravi to all!
