The annual Norwich School Careers & Networking Event goes from strength to strength and on Thursday 21st March moved to a new, exciting venue at Norwich City Football Club. With the generous help of local, regional and nationally-based colleagues and friends from across a huge range of professions and industries, pupils and families were able to meet with, chat, ask questions and generally explore their "next steps" and careers ideas with expert knowledge to guide them.
We firmly believe that 'children cannot be what they cannot see', and the evening provided the opportunity for pupils to discover jobs they didn't know existed, dig deep into industry opportunities, and ask the questions that need answering: 'What does a paralegal do?' 'What could I do with a product design degree?', 'Does your firm offer degree apprenticeships for engineers?'. 'Could we arrange a work experience placement at your office?'.
The 90 minute event passes so quickly in an informal, busy and buzzy atmosphere. We are grateful for all the support from professionals who give their time to our school community so readily, and look forward to future careers events.
