As part of the Bank Holiday weekend, people were being asked to help with their local communities in the ‘Big Help Out’ to ensure everyone got the opportunity to celebrate. On Monday, Norwich School’s Head of Catering, Darren Fitzpatrick, aided the impressive work of the Garden House Pub (NR2) in supporting Ukrainian families at their event for the King’s Coronation. Food was provided for families who “have never had anything like that before.” Any surplus food was boxed up after the event and sent out to other local families who are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis. I was lovely to ensure everybody was able to celebrate the Kings Coronation.
