Sixth Form Curriculum
Pupils typically study three linear A-Levels over two years, combined with an Independent Study.
Our aim is to ensure that all pupils reach their full potential and are able to apply for the university courses and career paths of their choice. To assist in this vital task, The Head of Careers and the Oxbridge Coordinator deliver a series of talks, called the weekly Futures Programme, and organise visits to universities.
Each tutorial group of approximately 22 pupils is supported by two Tutors, who play a vital role in guiding pupils through the Sixth Form as well as helping with university applications.
Subjects taught in the Sixth Form are:
Ancient/Classical Greek Art Art History Biology Business Enterprise Chemistry Classical Civilisation Computer Science 2D Design 3D Design Economics English French Geography German

Life in the Sixth Form is also designed to provide an excellent preparation for university and future employment. As pupils progress from the Lower 6 to Upper 6, we encourage them to take on greater responsibility for allocating their work and leisure time. Meanwhile, we provide the structured support they will need at key times during the year.
