Girls’ Cricket is soon to be starting its third year in the Senior School as the main core Trinity sport for girls. In this relatively short period of time we have had some great success on our circuit, where our U13s won the Indoor County Competition, and our U15s won the Outdoor Chance to Shine Competition. We also have a number of girls who have achieved County representation over the last couple of years.
With cricket still being relatively new to us, the fixtures are based around the development of all girls. Formats are adapted according to the level of ability, allowing all to develop the skills required in games that are fun and physically testing.
The indoor winter cricket programme started back in October and will continue up until the Easter break. There are a range of different sessions going on, from 1:1 sessions with some of our higher level players, to 'indoor' sessions in preparation for the upcoming tournaments, and skills sessions that are available to anyone who wants to practise and improve their skills.
In June 2017 the school launched an Academy partnership with Sussex County Cricket Club. More information can be found here.
