Young Enterprise company Inceptum win two awards at county finals

28 April 2017

Congratulations to Norwich School Young Enterprise company Inceptum. In the competition phase of the programme, presenters Tom Osborne, Toby Barber, Will Burton and Karan Garg represented their team at the Norfolk finals event at UEA's Norwich Business School on 26th April. Their company had taken full advantage of the trend for colouring books, with their professionally produced version featuring notable Norwich landmarks. They were by far the most financially successful business at the finals, winning the Aviva trophy for Enterprise and another for Customer Focus. Despite these successes, the company wasn't selected to represent the county at the East of England finals, but Norwich School will be back next year with another cohort of budding entrepreneurs.

Tom Osborn, Managing Director, has written a full report of their experiences for the School Blog which can be found here.

Young Enterprise is offered to Lower Sixth pupils as part of their extra-curricular programme and allows them to build real life business skills, helping to bridge the gap between the worlds of school and work. Each group works as a team to set up and run a business or social enterprise making all the decisions about their company, from deciding on the company name and product to selling to the public at trade fairs.
