World Book Day 2018 - snow edition

02 March 2018

World Book Day 2018 took place on Thursday 1st March. The school library had lots planned for this years celebrations but due to the adverse weather these were cancelled (for now). So we thought what better way to celebrate than to make the most of the snow and to create some amazing world book day characters from snow!

We asked pupils to think about their favourite book and to create a snow creation from their inspiration. Entries were sent into the school's twitter page @Norwich_School.

Lots of great books and characters were mentioned in the competition such as The Penguin Who Wanted To Find Out made by Alice Palmer, Daniel and Nicholas Conway's creation of Grandpa from Grandpa's Great Escape by David Walliams (who liked the photograph on twitter!), The Snail and the Whale made by Tilly & Livi Hill, Snoopy made by Herbie, Sophia Colman’s Mister Men and Amelie Duez's Mr Tickle from the Mister Men books.

Like the #NSsnowman competition, we will be judging the World Book Day snow creations on Monday 5th March.
