U5 Pupil Adam Chillingworth offered place to study at the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music

20 April 2021

U5 Pupil Adam Chillingworth has been offered a place to study at the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music on Saturday mornings from September.

The Junior Academy is a specialist music provision, aiming to inspire and challenge talented young musicians from all backgrounds. Entry is very competitive and successful applicants travel from all over the UK to be part of the creative learning environment. Intensive one-to-one lessons, specialist classes and a variety of performance opportunities all add to the musical vibrancy.

Adam is a talented organ player and will be focussing on preparation for an Associateship Diploma (ARCO), from the Royal College of Organists, an accreditation which demonstrates high achievement in organ playing and supporting theoretical work.

Alongside the organ, Adam plays piano, harpsichord and the French horn. He also leads a chamber choir for his year and a Baroque ensemble.

Congratulations Adam!
