U18 Boys Hockey team reach quarter finals of the England Hockey Board School Cup

On Thursday 9th March, the Norwich School Under 18 Boys Hockey team progressed to the quarter finals of the England Hockey Board School Cup after beating the Perse School in the sixth round of the competition.

Having beaten a number of schools in the East of England in previous rounds of the competition, the team beat Cambridge-based Perse School 3-2 to advance to the Quarter finals, with two goals from Henry Laming (U6P) and one from Harry Cresswell (U6S).  Norwich School now find themselves in the National draw with the top eight schools in the country. The winners of the quarter finals will meet at the National Hockey Centre in late April for the semi and finals.

Joe Cowan, Director of Sport at Norwich School said: “The match against The Perse was an excellent all round performance by all the players in the side and it is always nice to see the hard work put in in training and additional matches pay off.”

With the draw having now been made the quarter final match will be played against Queens College, Taunton on 21st March at the UEA Sportspark, push back at 2.30pm.
