The Mandarin Club celebrate Chinese New Year at Norwich School

26 February 2018

Chinese New Year is a celebration that one sixth of the world’s population take part in every year. Norwich School, led by the senior school Mandarin Club community service group, also celebrated the event.

The Mandarin Club held activities with Lower School pupils that included: explaining the origins of this annual festival, teaching the students some Mandarin (written and spoken) and making a fabulous Chinese fan. It was a real success.

A Lower School teacher wrote, "the children all thoroughly enjoyed their visit and have learnt a lot about the Chinese New Year. I thought that the Sixth formers did an excellent job and both activities were thoughtfully planned, very interesting and captured the children’s attention perfectly! Please thank them again for providing a brilliant insight into their culture."
