Success for Norwich School Physicists

06 April 2020

GCSE year pupils from Norwich School in March participated in the British Physics Olympiad, with several achieving very strong results.

The annual Physics Olympiad seeks to encourage the study of physics and recognise excellence in young physicists.

At this year’s Intermediate Physics Challenge (formerly Physics Challenge GCSE), pupils from Norwich School achieved:

1 Gold

3 Silver

4 Bronze

Pupils sat a single, one-hour paper that is suitable for Year 11 students earlier in March, which included multiple-choice and short answer sections that aimed to test their knowledge and understanding of basic physics principles.

Congratulations to all pupils who took part.

Final individual results will be made available in due course. Script submissions back to Oxford and certificate issues have obviously now all been delayed until further notice.
