Pupils wear yellow and sign a banner to show support for World Mental Health Day

11 October 2019

Pupils in the Senior School have been marking World Mental Health Day over the past two days. In assembly on Thursday, pupils heard from Max Merron in L6 who shared his story and unveiled a fundraising project to support and raise awareness of mental health, after losing a family member to suicide. You can read the full assembly on our Blog.

As part of Max's initiative, pupils wore yellow to school today and donated £1 each to wear home clothes, with the funds going to charity Young Minds. Pupils also met in the Refectory at morning break time to sign a banner that was sponsored by ON Tom Oxley, from Bamboo Mental Health. The signing of the banner is to show support for one another and to bring mental health to the forefront of conversation.

A cake sale and raffle also took place to raise money for Young Minds.
