Norwich School welcomes children from Reception age

05 September 2018

It is a historic day for Norwich School, as we welcome pupils from as young as 4 years old for the first time. The extension of the Lower School, to include facilities for children in reception, year 1 and year 2, means that the school, set in the beautiful grounds of Norwich Cathedral, is now buzzing with boys and girls from aged 4 through to 18.

Master of the Lower School, John Ingham, commented, “It has been exciting to see our beautiful new pre-prep building filled with so many happy and excited children. We are all delighted at Norwich School to be responsible for the education of children throughout their fourteen years of schooling.”

Parents and pupils saw the new classrooms for the first time yesterday, during an induction. One parent said, “It just looks so sparkling and new – the most fantastic place to stimulate young minds in in a playful and fun environment.”

With 57 new pupils starting in the pre-prep today, the first phase of the project has been a resounding success. There will be further developments to the buildings before an official opening next year.
