Norwich School Warhammer 40k team compete in final of the National School's League Championship

12 July 2018

Norwich School Warhammer 40k team competed at the National School’s League Championship on Tuesday 26th June.

The championship, which took place at Warhammer World in Nottingham, was the conclusion of the 2017/2018 series.

The team, comprised of Will Amies, Will Walton, Harry Peachment and Benji Fischer, had passed through the semi finals with ease. From arrival at the championship it was apparent the standard for the final would be a significant step up, with all 11 finalist teams eager for a top three finish.

Despite a strong opening round winning three of the four games against two different opposing sides (including snatching a win from the eventual winners, Oakland Park), the team continued to play strong opposition and struggled to find much more success.

The final result was four wins out of 12 which, although below the team’s usual standard, managed to secure them a joint 7th place finish.

On top of this, pupil Harry Peachment was nominated for the best painted army alongside 3 other finalists in an incredibly tight contest. His models are now on display in the entrance to Warhammer World.

The team wanted to say a big thank you to Dr Clark and Mr Joel for their continued support of the club this year.
